Ooh the Mika vest stitch pattern looks dreamy! I’m also interested in double knitting- in all my knitting years I haven’t done it. That looks like a perfect use for that technique. I have a promised project to knit, then I’m going after those mitts.

Aww, thank you so much for your kind appreciation and support. I am absolutely loving how the double knit fabric is turning out.

I am officially a fan of your mitt patterns because they fit me perfectly (after measuring hand circumference and getting gauge of course 😄) and they are always the best combination of easy knitting and a fun pattern on the back of the hand. I love my Almas Mitts and they are going to get a lot of wear. They are the first thing I have knit with mohair and certainly won't be the last!

And about that vest... I absolutely must knit that! I love vests and texture and doubleknit edging. I don't want to rush you, but any idea when the pattern will be ready? 😂 What weight of yarn are you using for it so I can start planning?

Lori, thank you so much for your kind appreciation. I love your knits and it is the best kind of satisfaction to hear that things actually fit and will be used. 🥰 Yay!! I am loving the combo of vest+texture+double knit too. I hope to finish the knit and grade it this month. But then TE for sweaters can take a bit longer, so I'm not putting a date on test knittting yet. I am using worsted weight yarn.

Kavitha, I just noticed this note. I am very happy this vest is worsted weight. I have several options in my stash that will work. 😁 I can't wait for the pattern to be ready! Every time I see you post about this vest on Instagram I want to knit it more and more and it gets harder to wait. 😄💜

😀 Lori, the pattern is getting checked by the TE now. If I hadn't goofed up on the numbers too much, it should be ready real soon. But jokes aside, I am so grateful for your interest. I love how this turned this turned out and and I hope it will be an enjoyable knit to everyone as well. 💜

Thank you so much for these great tips on getting fingerless mitts to fit - and I still haven't tried double knitting. I really must challenge myself and try it.

I am so glad the tips are helpful. I had not tried double knitting for a long time too. I am a convert now. I really want to put it on every edge and hem. 🙈

All of your new items look terrific! Great use of double knitting on that armhole. I have just committed myself to knitting down my yarn stash for the next year, starting NOW! I see your Almas Mitts in my future! :-)

You will have to let us know what you think of "The perfectionist’s guide to losing control" - Katherine Morgan Schaffer. Love the title.

Thank you for your kindest words and appreciation, Sandy. Yay! for considering Almas Mitts. I am loving the double knit results so much myself. Lol! you got me there. This is a book I casually picked up only because I hadn't read non-fiction in a while and wanted something to mull over. For now I can say I am falling deeper into the book (quite unexpectedly) and reading it ever so slowly. It is going to take some time to process it all because the ideas presented are so radical!
