Yes please!! I would love the same. I recently moved to storygraph from Goodreads but haven't tried to connect with anyone there yet. My username is craftdoodling there as well.
Happy New Year Kavitha! I can hear the refreshed air in your post! So happy you have had a nice holiday with your family. Changing-up our routine can be hard to do, but it does provide a chance to take a new perspective on what we are doing. And HOW we are doing our lives. Our lives can get so bogged down in just making it from sun-up to sun-down. A break can give us a chance to make changes in how we might do things differently. In families that takes coordination and communication. The good thing is when we feel an improvement has been made, we all feel it! Love that.
This year is feeling different for me, too. I started making changes in November rather organically. I stopped watching TV news. That was a major change for me. As I made the adjustment, I dropped most of my TV watching. I mostly just use it for listening to classical music! lol Over the holidays I started a crochet cardigan. It is a light sock weight merino in fine crochet and something I am enjoying. It will tie up my handwork time for the next couple of months. But that works for me right now, too. Looking forward to your 2025 posts Kavitha! :-)
Sandy, I agree with the new perspectives that come from changing up things. Even a small break can be so good when we have been just 'going through the motions' for days. I am so glad you are able to make adjustments about what is not helping you. The cardigan sounds like a lovely project and would be ready for early spring I guess. :)
I love checking out what you are reading - are you, by any chance, on Storygraph?

Hi Kavitha! Do you have a place knitters who want to test knit can go to?
