Tell Me You're a Knitter…
Habits That Give Knitters Away, Pattern Testing Call - Chalana Socks, CraftDoodling Designs News etc.
This week’s newsletter is just a bit of fun and some updates for you. 🤗
Tell me you're a knitter, without telling me. ♥️
Sweaters displayed in stores aren’t temptations for you—they’re blueprints for your next project.
You pause a TV show just to examine a sleeve or yoke detail.
If a character is knitting in a show or movie, you're the first one or often the only one in your family to notice.
You’re probably an avid reader who can recall even the most obscure mentions of knitting in books. If knitting is described in vivid detail, that book likely makes your "favorites" list and gets re-read often.
You have saved safety pins from clothing tags to use as stitch markers.
You secretly search “LYS near me” when planning your family’s vacation and also pack your projects before anything else.
Your knitting projects have been through the dentists office and DMV lines.
Your camera roll is 70% yarn, swatches, and project progress shots.
How many of these things are true about you too? Let me know in comments! ♥️
To let me know you liked what you read, you can also press the little heart icon at the bottom of the newsletter. ♥️ However, if you are clicking it from your inbox, you might have to wait until Substack opens in a browser and make sure the heart icon is indeed red. Thanks! 🥰
CRAFTDOODLING DESIGNS UPDATES
PATTERN TESTING CALL
A new pattern testing call just went up in my Ravelry Group.
Chalana Socks feature an elegant, easy-to-memorize lace pattern that grows quickly on the needles. Instructions for distributing stitches are provided for both the magic loop and double-pointed needles.
Please follow the Ravelry link for more details about the project, how to apply etc. Thank you for your consideration.
FEATURED PATTERN
Nasha Shawl has been getting some attention this month in my Ravelry Store. I love this design for the all the spring vibes it brings about. Thank you so much for your support. I hope you enjoy knitting and wearing yours.
Here is another adorable tester picture of Mika Vest, my latest design.
