I started in high school when my friend’s godmother, who was a champion knitter in Sweden, taught us. I go through waxing and waning periods but always love to take classes at my LYS wherever I have lived!
Aw, lovely to know a bit of your knitting story. I don’t know that you have waxing and waning periods but your enthusiasm seems like the one that inspires everyone around you. ❤️
I learned to knit when some friends visited me who had forgotten their knitting supplies. As an ambitious (albeit untalented) crocheter, I had plenty of yarn but no knitting needles, so we made a trip to a local craft store. They insisted on getting me needles too and teaching me, and once I got started, knitting clicked in my brain like no other craft I've ever tried
I've been knitting since the age of 12 when my Swedish Gramma Amanda taught me. I later taught myself to crochet. This summer I was invited to teach some crochet classes at my local yarn shop, Applewood Yarn Barn. That gave me the impetus to go deeper into my study and practice of crochet. Later this summer I'm taking a Tunisian Crochet (Hybrid Crochet) class at Flock in Seattle!

I started knitting when I was 3. Currently knitting Fort Grey socks by Fiona Alice (amongst many other unfinished projects!!).
Starting at 3 sounds amazing to me! ❤️ And Fort grey socks looks like a cool pattern. Enjoy!

This is all so wonderful Nan! There is no limits to how much one can expand their knowledge and practice. ❤️
