I feel the same about not being able to knit, it makes me restless and grumpy. Knitting helps me with regulating emotions and doing things one stitch at a time instead all at once.

For the holidays, I liked my last year approach: pretend they don't exist and spend a few quiet days with my knitting. This year, though, I want to visit my partner's family, they are lovely people and I don't see them very often. But not without my knitting. Her older sibling also brings usually a pair of socks or a shawl project, so we often sit together on these visits ^^

Love your approach to the holidays, Lior! How fun to have a quiet knit-along while visiting. This sounds very merry to me! Best of times to you!

I"m so completely with you, Kavitha... Crocheting for me is *my* way of self-care. Saying this anywhere else would probably sound ridiculous, but I do feel kind of lost, like there's something missing, if I don't have a crochet project to turn to every day... (I have to get better at taking notes and photos during the process though; it would make the non-crochet part of crochet much easier on me 🙉🙊🙈)

I know! Note taking is the hardest bit. I am just getting started with second samples for a couple designs currently and I realize that is one situation where one can escape note taking for a while. :)

Your work is lovely!

Did you fill your call for pattern testers yet? I'll restack this in hopes that more people will see this and offer to help you out.

Thank you so much for your kind words as well as the restack Amy! I have a few testers currently. I can have more for this one, if anyone's still interested.

I find that my fingers get fidgety and I get anxious if I don't have a project to work on.

I hear you. I feel anxious without a project too. My fingers start to do some sort of "air-knitting"

Both of the items up for testing are beautiful! I so understand about how knitting helps to pace oneself in our daily lives. Truly has been that way for me for more than 50 years! Easy projects when I need to rest my brain and challenging knits to distract me from some craziness in my life. Always good to hear that I am not alone in needing knitting in my life! Best of the holidays to you Kavitha!
