I am traveling to visit my extended family this weekend. So I am taking a little break from my regular weekly article. If you feel inclined, please feel free to browse through the archives. You might find something you like! 💝
But knitting and writing works are in progress. This week I thought you might like a quick roundup of my designs in progress.
Nasha Shawl
As many of you might know already, Nasha Shawl is a one-skein fingering weight shawl I had released in March 2020. Currently, my test knitters are testing a 2-skein version of the same design, which I am calling Nasha 2.0.
Along with Nasha 2.0 release, I will also be releasing an improved and updated version of the original Nasha Shawl.
Main modifications to the design:
(1) The shawl is worked with a smaller needle size.
(2) I-cord edging along the sides and I-cord bind-off.
I like the fabric so much better and overall structure of the shawl is much improved.
What do you think? Have you knitted a kite-shaped shawl yet? 🪁
My next garment design
This might be too early to announce anything. But I just wanted to share that my next garment design is slowly taking shape. 🤞
This is an idea from a couple years ago. I had this idea for a color block tee where the color blocking is not just a straight line but is shaped with short rows.
At that time I had tried out the idea with some worsted weight yarn I had in hand to see how it looks. I have been working on and off on this idea to polish up things.
The idea went through quite some changes and I have tried a few different yarns and finally it is starting to come together. I hope I will be able to show more of this in the coming weeks. 🤞
Some more..
I’ve gotten started on a couple more ideas - a cowl for a class and another garment. But they are in their very beginning stages. I will wait to make some progress on these before I can show some sneak peeks. 🙂
FEATURED PATTERN
Meera Shawl has delicate chevron lace all over the body and is finished with a twisted ribbing border. It is a classic triangle done with one-skein of fingering weight yarn.

I accept any of these with immense gratitude. Thank you!
I love all of these designs! The last, smaller shawl, especially, is such a great item for just 1-2 skeins. 💕
Hope you have a lovely time away and you're on fire with your designing! :)
