Care to join me for a free mini-workshop ?
Knit Happy Summit: Join top knitting experts (and yours truly) as we share our best secrets, tips, and techniques to elevate your knitting!, CraftDoodling Designs updates etc.
From my earlier emails, you may recall that I’ve been working to create workshops and classes for a few online events. I’m thrilled to share that the first one of the year is finally here! 🎉
Knit Happy! Summit
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with Designer Jessica Ays of Double the Stitches, through multiple online forums. She has always impressed me with her warmth, sincerity, and unwavering dedication. She not only creates beautiful designs but also thoughtfully fosters a community of knitters.
When Jessica invited me to present at her annual virtual summit, I was delighted to say yes.
Knit Happy! virtual summit is designed especially to help knitters take their skills to the next level and become more confident.
The summit runs for 4 days, from January 23 - 26th. You’ll learn from the top instructors in the knitting community for FREE. These experts will be sharing their wealth of knowledge, tips, tricks, and favorite techniques to help you improve your knitting skills.
My topic of presentation will be
A Guide to Well-Fitting Fingerless Mitts
: Finding your size, swatching and checking fit.
at the upcoming
Mitts that fit
I have been teaching classes and giving presentations on various knitting topics for a while now. From my own experience, I believe teaching through examples, swatches, pictures, alongside some written instructions and relevant anecdotes :)
For my presentation at the summit, I’ve put together everything you need to know to pick a size, take measurements, swatch meaningfully, check fit and customize your mitts on the go if needed.
Indeed, mitts are handy little projects (note the pun! 😀) for learning about fit, measurements, swatching etc, in case you feel intimidated by the idea of knitting a sweater. Knitting a pair of mitts first, will prepare you well for sweater knitting.
What’s in the summit for you?
The best part? The summit is free to attend from January 23 to 26. When you grab your free ticket, you’ll have access to all the presentations for 48 hours!
After that, if you wish, you’ll be able to purchase extended VIP access to all the presentations and an extensive toolkit that offers ebooks, courses, knitting pattern bundles from all the participant speakers.
Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced knitter seeking to refine your techniques, this summit has something for everyone.
There are presentations covering everything from Fearless Sweater Making and Commonsense Bust Darts, Get Gauge for Real: The Secrets to Swatching for Knits that Fit, The Art of the Swap: Mastering Yarn Substitution, How to Fix Your Knitting Mistakes, and more.

There’s lots more I’d love to tell you about this summit, but I’ll let you check out all the details for yourself. In the coming weeks, I’ll only be sharing one or two small reminders about this.
💰 If you end up buying an extended VIP access through the links I’ve shared, I’ll be paid a part of what you pay. Thank you for your consideration and support. ❤️
Also, I just woke up to this note from Jessica…

Ceremonial Grade Cowl is currently under test and getting ready to be released on Jan 30th. This is a crochet pattern I have designed after a long break and I am really excited to see all the tester versions coming out nicely.
I am working on my second sample for Mika Vest, a bit slowly. I hope to be able to give it some attention this weekend. :)

I’m just finishing Sipsworth by Simon Van Booy, a sweet and quiet little book recommended to me by my sweet daughter. When we chat on the phone biweekly there are three things we always share: what are you knitting; what are you reading; what are you making for dinner. ☺️
